Description

Original 1943 World Series Souvernir Program Book + Cardinals Baseball Club Mail.
I’m a military antiques dealer, and I found this glued in a scrapbook that I got from a wwii vet’s family. Unfortunately the glue did do a little damage to the back cover, as shown, and the accompanying letter from the Cardinals Baseball Club had a greeting card glued on top of the signature (auto pen). Other than that, both pieces are in really great shape! They were well protected inside the scrapbook.
The program is full of all kinds of amazing wartime advertising, as well as everything you need to know about the game and teams.
I am also including two other baseball related cards that were tucked into the scrap book. One of these identifies the original owner of the program as John Phipps, a serviceman, and official player in the 1944 Semi-Pro Baseball Tournament. The other document is another Cardinals Club piece that was probably mailed to members in the service at Christmas.
I have no idea what the value of this is, so it will go to the highest bidder. You are getting all 4 pieces of WWII Era Baseball memorabilia. Play ball!
