    Switching on this unique lamp brings the meter to life, with
    slowly-rotating gears visible through the meter's original
    glass cover. This cover is specially polished to provide a high
    level of clarity for the interior working mechanism.

    Electric Meter Lamp. Both the meter base and terminal cover have
    been plated in
    bright brass
    . Also, the meter's brass register gears
    display their original 1920's
    gold plating
    , a process applied to select
    meters during the production process.
    With a banker-style glass shade, this delightful piece exudes uncommon
    quality and pride of craftsmanship throughout.
    Included are three copper wire, pressed metal wingnut security seals,
    just like the olden-days metermen installed to thwart tampering.
    A second line cord switch may also be used.
