Goat BlueLite is an oral rehydration formula specifically designed for ruminating animals. Ruminant animals possess a unique ability to efficiently utilize both roughage and grain through their bacterial fermentation in the rumen as compared to simple stomached animals like swine, poultry, and young nursing calves and kids that cannot utilize or digest roughage on an efficient basis. Goat BlueLite contains buffered electrolytes, water soluble vitamins, and multiple energy sources with a specially designed pH regulating action that enhances utilization and absorption without endangering the ruminant animal encountering lactic acid acidosis. The buffered electrolytes in Goat BlueLite are non-irritating as compared to some electrolytes that could compound problems of ruminitis and enteritis. Goat BlueLite contains special aromatic and flavoring agents that are preferred by the ruminating animal such as goats and sheep. Through numerous on farm trials, Goat BlueLite is readily consumed by the goats and encourages water intake. Goat BlueLite is especially helpful in maintaining water intake in cold weather when adequate water intake is often a problem. A specific example of how well BlueLite is consumed by the ruminant animal is the quick adaptation seen by feeder lambs in starting to consume water with BlueLite from a tank or trough after shipment into Colorado feedlots. The unique formulation of Goat BlueLite, with its tasty and palatable ingredients, makes it the ideal rehydration product for helping the ruminant animal maintain tissue fluids and reducing shrink when dehydration presents a problem as a result of shipping stress, weather changes, changes in rations, or in stresses such as vaccination reactions. DAIRY & MEAT GOATS Goat BlueLite is readily consumed by kids and lactating dairy and meat goats. The pleasant taste helps encourage water intake to help maintain body fluids and reduce shrink when goats encounter dehydration as a result of heat stress, bacterial diarrhea, pneumonia or moldy feeds. Goat BlueLite is easy and convenient to use. It can be individually administered as a top dress for a few animals or used as a herd treatment in the water tank. FEEDLOT KIDS & LAMBS Goat BlueLite helps kids and lambs get started on water and feed when shipping into the feedlot. The buffered electrolyte fortification makes Goat BlueLite ideal for administration into kids and lambs suffering from dehydration tetany or staggers. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Topdress on feed at a rate of 1/2 ounce per head per day. For water use, mix 1 ounce per four gallons of water. NOTE Goat BlueLite can be stored in liquid form by mixing 2 pounds of Goat BlueLite powder with sufficient water to fill a gallon container or milk jug. Each ounce of liquid stock solution will contain 1 ounce of Goat BlueLite powder. This stock solution can be used for 2 weeks if kept refrigerated.
