Details
Description:
A very nice silver colored medallion attached to a red silk like material ribbon ending in a pin-back bar with the word "DELEGATE" on off-white background within a golden frame. The medallion has the words State Firemen's above and below a design of what looks like a ladder and two crossing horns and other instruments used by Firemen. The center which is round is surrounded by four banners the one on top having the initials NJ while the one on the bottom has the word "ASS'N" while the one to the left has a hookk & ladder and the one on the right has a fire hydrant. The back of the medallion is undecorated. There is a loop attached to the medallion which in turn is attached to a loop connected to the ribbon by a third larger loop colored in gold. The red ribbon has the following notation in golden lettering "95th Annual Convention; N.J. State Firemen's Association; Atlantic City, NJ; Sept. 15-16; 1972." The ribbon has a golden and very nice looking pin-back bar with a central off-white portion having the word "DELEGATE" in black coloring. The pin works well and closes and opens securely as it should. The piece is unmarked as to the maker. A very nice collectible to add to your ribbon collection or Firemen Related items collection. It is really a nice medal which would make a worthy addition to any collection. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition:
The piece is in excellent condition. The medallion is intact and the details are all there and fresh. The back of the medallion shows a few scratches. The ribbon is in excellent condition and the lettering on it is all there with no losses at all. The ribbon shows minimum soiling, but nothing to worry about. It still retains most of its original stiffness. The only thing we can see is the fact that the ribbon was pinned together when we got it and we took the pins off and you can see the pin marks especially on the back of the ribbon, see the last photo. However, it is still a very nice piece that is very interesting and would make a great addition to your collection.
