    Description

For bid is an original March 1961 Cactus League Spring Training BASEBALL GAME souvenir program from the San Francisco Giants versus Cleveland Indians game played in Tucson, Arizona and hosted by the Uptown Optimist Club of that city!!  Wonderful program with light yellow covers and 24 numbered pages inside the program by Chuck Waggin!  Wonderful cover illustration of Cleveland Indians dancing around a cactus baseball player.  Program was sold at the game in Arizona for 25 cents.  Games played March 19 and 20th, before the season began for these teams.  LOTS of advertising in the program for local Tucson businesses.  Full page advertisement for "Apache Air Lines" on the back cover of the program (Tucson Municipal Airport).
GREAT program featuring a Giants team with players like Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Jack Sanford, the Alou brothers, Orlando Cepeda, etc.  Indians featured Jim Perry, Jim Grant, Jim Piersall, Tito Francona, and Vic Power.
Original owner wrote the scores of the two games on the center score pages (in blue pen).  Several names written on those pages.
